Day 18 of the August Healing Tarot Challenge: "What needs healing in my relationship with my father?" I drew the Ace of Swords. 🗡 Aces are about new beginnings and the Swords represent the Air signs which rule logic, the mind, communication, learning, and healing. My father is kind of Asperger-y so communication is not his strong point and emotions are foreign to him. Everything he says and does is based in logic. Therefore anytime my mother or I cry he just sits there blankly. Even so he has reached out to me lately and whenever I call him back he says it was an accident and there must be something wrong with his phone. My father has a Jitterbug so if you don't know what that is, it's a cellphone for older people. It's a giant flip phone so there's no way he can butt dial. He has to look in his contacts to find my number. ☎️ This card is very symbolic of the eclipse as it forces change. The change can be uncomfortable but necessary. It means I have to call him back and force him to have a conversation if nothing else than to explain why I don't come around anymore. He's 88 and most likely doesn't understand. He may die soon so therefore there's a sense of urgency and that's what this card indicates. Just as the sword moves swiftly, so must I. 😕 I don't want to but I know I need to. Ugh! But maybe he can learn something, even in his advanced age. I will keep you posted. #augusttarotchallenge #day18 #healing #aceofswords #airsign #newbeginnings #logic #mind #communication #learning #swiftmovement #actquickly
