Now that the end of the year is approaching, I think about what 2018 will have in store for me. This comes with a healthy dose of planning and introspection. And the Happi Empire (created by Frances Verbeek) has been there to help! Do you want to know more? Well, it was born out of the purpose to "translate deep spiritual wisdom into practical daily habits, helping you to undo negativity in your mind and remember who you are". Right up my alley.
There's so much to learn from the Happi Empire, and I can’t fit it all here! So I invite you to read about its philosophy to better understand the goodies I'm showing you today. What firstly draw me to it were the Happi Cards. You already know I love working with cards for meditation. These are inspirational cards that work through affirmations and unique mandalas. The 57 cards are palm sized, and designed with one colour each against a white background. They are simple, attractive, and effective. They focus on keeping a loving mindset and creating positive thoughts, even when things are not so cool.
These are fantastic for quick meditations. I love them in the mornings, where I also take some minutes to work with the Happy Balance Action Pad and the Self Care Daily Playbook. Let's start with the former. This wonderful mini action pad focuses on mind, body and spirit. I think of it as a quick but effective way of journaling my progress in areas other than work, which has been taking over a lot of my time. By means of simple care practices, this pad tries to help us find some time for ourselves.
The Self Care Daily Playbook contains exercises and prompts to care for these very same areas. They work in a synergy. While I find the pad to be more journal-like, the playbook is more geared towards action. It contains a total of 170 pages where 11 are repeated thorough with the intention of creating a self-love ritual. It also contains 10 bonus exercises and 10 full colour affirmation pages, and everything together completes a tool for creating a positive belief system. And oh, hardcover!
Personally, I find that the Happi Empire has helped me with procrastination and other shades of self-sabotaging. It has provided me with tools to put my meditation time into practice, to push myself further, and to be conscious about my decisions. I believe Fran has succeeded: she's managed to create instruments to achieve a positive, grateful state of mind where happiness is found within us. And there are so many other goodies you may find useful, like other pads, printable playsheets, and inspiring prints (or the super cool Mind Hug Happi Pack) to jumpstart the year, or any new stage in your life. So if you're looking for a nice gift for someone you love (and as I always say, that could perfectly be yourself) be sure to check the Happi Empire site out!
