You may have noticed our Jazz Re-issue section has slowly been growing the past few months due to the popularity of High Quality Audiophile pressings from labels such as @analogueproductions, @mobilefidelityofficial and the @bluenoterecords Tone Poet series. We try to keep our vinyl sections stocked for a diverse range of customers, so where you might find a more expensive audiophile edition of a particular album, there may also be a cheaper standard press available. Case in point: John Coltrane's 1963 studio album Ballads has recently been remastered as part of the Verve Acoustic Sounds series. Mastered from the original analog tapes and manufactured at Quality Record Pressings (QPR) in Kansas. By all reports an amazing pressing, but it will set you back $60. If audiophile pressings aren't your thing, we also stock a perfectly acceptable standard @impulserecords 180-gram vinyl press, which only costs $38. Different strokes for different folks! We don't discriminate against different types of listeners, and are here to help you on your vinyl journey whichever way it may take you.
