For #redoctoberrussianreads I am leading a buddy read of The Master and Margarita over on Facebook, but I also wanted to do a post on Russian books I have read and loved. There are books I have borrowed and loved and returned or lent away and so are not pictured here, but this is still a pretty good representation. As you can see, I have a bit of a thing for Bulgakov. This will be my third reading of The Master and Margarita, which I will probably start tomorrow. I really have loved all of these books, especially Cancer Ward and Memoirs from the House of the Dead (plus all the Bulgakov, obviously.) I am a bit embarrassed there are no women in this stack, though #witmonth gave me lots of ideas and added books to my want-to-read shelf so hopefully I will be filling that gap soon. . . Currently making myself a cup of Russian Caravan tea, because I am committed to the concept. . . #cancerward #alexandersolzhenitsyn #acountrydoctorsnotebook #themasterandmargarita #thewhiteguard #thefataleggs #mikhailbulgakov #definitelymaybe #arkadyandborisstrugatsky #whatmenliveby #thedeathofivanilyich #leotolstoy #memoirsfromthehouseofthedead #fyodordostoyevsky https://www.instagram.com/p/B3Ke664g1s3/?igshid=1uzoh7e4p9myh
