let’s pretend for .02 seconds that rhys isn’t a daemati and az doesn’t have spy!shadows and mor has actually successfully kept her sexuality a secret for five hundred fucking years
1) why the fuck has she felt compelled to keep it a secret?????? unless homophobia is present in this society 🙃🙃🙃
2) this undermines the character maas crafted in acomaf -- a person who escaped abuse and who’s now confident and sure of herself
but that’s a whole separate post and i’ve got more to say
3) why? the fuck?? does she choose? to tell?? FEYRE?? of all people???????? what about amren???????????????????????
and she’s know feyre for a handful of months???????
ugh i just do not believe she would choose to keep her sexuality a secret from her Family™ for that long

also, her sexuality gets used against her in an argument (which felt very forced, tbh, gross trope execution notwithstanding)

the whole point of this was to let the reader see how Progressive™ and Accepting™ feyre is and we should be so lucky to have a main character who’s supportive of The Queer Plight™

this whole things was handled so..... clumsily?? like the rest of the book, it felt underdeveloped and rushed.
it felt like maas was told to increase the diversity of her characters and made a snap decision to make mor gay
it feels like maas wants credit for queer rep (without actually having to put in Real Work to make the narratives authentic)
also, mor’s either bi with a romantic preference for women (which means she could still *technically* end up with azriel, but that would be Gross and sort of invalidate this whole shitty narrative and make it even worse if that’s even possible????)
