It is achillephobic and sapphophobic to imply that the only reason why MLM and WLW stories are enjoyed by conformant audiences is because they fetishize achilleans and sapphics.
Yes, there is real fetishization that occurs, and that shouldn't be ignored. But also, it's frankly offensive that people will accuse conformants of being fetishists when they enjoy a genuinely well written story. Do you think our stories are so unenjoyable and unrelatable to general audiences that only "one of us" can understand?
Do queer stories not deserve to be viewed by all audiences? Why are you behaving as if we are so fundamentally different, an alien species?
