The little voice in my head that goes "ACHAEANS" everytime someone calls them greeks when talking about the iliad.
Currently thinking about the fact that Odysseus' dog has the same name as Diomedes' city.
My man really named his animal companion after a kingdom and I don't doubt for a moment that Diomedes wanted to strangle him for it.
CAN YOU IMAGINE THE PUNS AND JOKES?
Ody: I've heard recently that Argos is full of howl-arious bards.
Dio: I want you to remember that out of the two of us I am the one Athena gifted inhuman strength to.
...
Ody: Diomedes here is as loyal as a hound, aren't you my friend?
Dio: *ominous music starts playing in the background*
...
Ody: I really feel like you are barking up the wrong tree with Agamemnon, we should try-
Dio: I will murder you.
throughout spring semester, i've been working on comics for my class so i'd like to start posting them weekly on mondays now (manhua mondays if you will) !!
I've been so busy recently with school and stuff. Today I just took an AP Computer Science exam and hopefully I get a five 🤞
So here's Telemachus and Nausicaa, one of my favourite ships with like barely any mythological backing... I've been wanting to draw them together for a while. It's so sad how Nausicaa barely shows up in modern adaptations, she's like one of my favourite characters.

Sacrifice of Polyxena
Five Abandoned boats in Ipsos in Corfu
This image makes me imagine the state of some of the ships of the Greeks waiting at the beach of Troy. Some of them undoubtedly got damaged by salt, humidity or time.
Some must have been destroyed for tools or firewood (or lastly for the infamous Trojan Horse) but some of them might as well have been abandoned or half-sunk at the bay of Troy. Never making it back to their initial ports, taken over by nature and sea.
(Also kudos to Odysseus for making sure all 12 or his ships were always ready to go, properly preserved and held in good condition for 12 he got from Ithaca, 12 he took from Troy)
Acheans PT 1 lmao
