...Bonus the Reveal happens because Noctis meets Nyx face to face and can feel the magic of another Lucis Caelum swirling around Nyx and buried within him so deeply that Regis’ magic feels like a guest. Like Noctis’ father is being allowed to grant Nyx magic.

So Noctis, kinda freaks out a bit, because as far as Noctis knows there are no other Lucis Caelum’s, and he has to decide what to do and Nyx is on ‘Guard the Prince’ duty, so Noctis wanders into Regis’ office and when Nyx goes to wait outside Noctis grabs his wrist and drags him into the office.

“Dad,” Noctis calls as soon as the door is open and he drags Nyx in, “Explain.”

Regis looks at his son, then his attention is turned to a confused Nyx and like Noctis, Regis can feel Ace’s magic in Nyx.

“Oh,” Regis goes, “This is interesting.”

“Interesting,” Noctis says, “Is that all you have to say? There’s another one of us out there! And we don’t know where they are!”

“I’m sure the Glaive would be happy to assist us with finding out who this missing Lucis Caelum is,” Regis says, “What is your name, Glaive?”

“Nyx Ulric, Your Majesty,” Nyx says, keeping his face blank, “May I ask something, sir?”

“Of course.”

“What do you mean by missing Lucis Caelum?” Nyx is then treated to a crash course on magic and soulmates and how someone’s magic has already claimed Nyx and that Regis’ own magic is being treated like a guest.

When Nyx is asked if he has any idea who this missing Lucis Caelum could be he thinks of all the seemingly impossible things Ace has done and drags a hand down his face.

1. Yeah Alpin is a character and I have the verses he’s a part of but... I have no idea what he’s doing. What his motivations are. I originally wanted him to be an antithesis of Cronus, but now I want his motivations and methods to be more sinister, but I honestly have no clue lmao

Ace is almost... mutant-phobic? Is that a word? In the sense that a closeted gay guy might repress their sexuality in a desperate attempt to convince themselves they are not gay. 

He’s desperate to be human, and fully normal. He didn’t even get any superhuman abilities, just immortality. So as a result, his relationship with Mac is strained, and he fired Connor.

Questions About Creating Your OCs

1. What was the first element of your OC that you remember considering (name, appearance, backstory, etc.)?

For Dusty, I had their name and that they were nb for the longest time, before I really dove into developing the Spades members. For Ace, he was long-lived (not quite immortal at that point), and that he liked playing pranks on people. 

12. What have you found to be most difficult about creating art for your OC (any form of art: writing, drawing, edits, etc.)?

Dusty and Gavin look kinda similar, so the hardest thing about drawing either of them is giving them recognisable differences. For Ace… idk. It’s pretty easy to draw him and write for him. *shrug*

14. If you had to narrow it down to 2 things that you MUST keep in mind while working with your OC, what would those things be? 

Whatever Ace does, he puts his whole heart and soul into it. That includes loving his partners and his kids. Also, just as friendly and bouncy as he can be, he is also a very skilled killer with literal decades of experience.
