He'd come off more threatening than he'd hoped, but better that than act like prey to a creature who for all he knew could be predatory.

"I'm not here to 'come after' you."

Dustfinger took an ever-so-cautious step forward.

"I've only heard of the gifts your people can bestow. I'm interested in that sort of thing."

By way of demonstration, he whispered a few fire-words into his hand and held his palm out to her as a small fire sprung to life, undaunted by the wet and the wind.

" ... But this save world, right? "

Leonard is just sitting there staring at the girl the leader of the planet wants him to marry and he wants him to marry her because apparently his coming had been foretold by the gods. How is this his life? Not that the girl wasn't cute because she was it was just a thing that he had never thought of before. Leonard hoped that Jim might be getting somewhere in talking to the man who wants him to marry her, but he doubts it. "No, it's just that i've been married once before and it ended badly so excuse me if i'm not very excited to be experiencing the same thing again."

He shook his head then and got up from the chair "You do know that marriiges don't save universes or planets. People do if they can and if they can't they fall back on religion to carry them through. i'm not foretold, i'm just a guy traveling through space and trying to keep the crew of a starshiip alive." Leonard then extends a hand "My names Leonard, Leonard McCoy but the blond man i came here with, Jim, he calls me Bones."

" I am planting cherry tomatoes. Then people can just grab and eat from the plant "

"Oh, i'm a healer so i don't use my hands for much of anything except people." Sel'lek laughs then and tilts his head to the side "What did you think that i did go out and hunt people down? No, i could only do that if i absolutely had to and i don't think i would kill them even then. i took an oath to do no harm so for as long as i can i'm going to keep that oath." He cocks an eyebrow then reaches down and grabs a handful of the stuff and starts to spread it over the ground "i can see where this would be quite relaxing."

Sel'lek then looks for the plants "Where are the plants or are you sewing the seeds instead? That is what my grandfather used to do. He said something about them being better when grown from seed than having someone else grow them for you."
