and regarding that insurance company, I desperately Want To Believe that Joan is completely aware of the person she's going to work for and has set this whole thing up to take him down. It's too coincidental for her to just happen to end up working with him, although I suppose the show is more likely to have her be hired as a means to get close to someone she knows.
In addition to "The One That Got Away" referring to Kitty, who escaped Gruner, as well as to Gruner, who escaped justice, I also hope they're going to address the broken partnership and Joan being 'the one that got away' from Sherlock after his mistake at the end of S2. Apparently I will never stop hoping for this show to give me things I'm not going to get...
"There was a curious secretive streak in the man which led to many dramatic effects, but left even his closest friend guessing as to what his exact plans might be. He pushed to an extreme the axiom that the only safe plotter was he who plotted alone. I was nearer him than anyone else, and yet I was always conscious of the gap between." âWatson on Holmes, "The Illustrious Client"
[I'm certain we'll find out this applies to Elementary!Kitty just as it did in the original story, though I'm hoping Joan will know and Sherlock will be surprised to learn her ulterior motives. Small chance we'll get in-depth treatment of Joan's secrets, unfortunately.]

In Kitty Winter's story in canon, there is a secret book that documents the things that were done to Kitty. It was created by the villain, Kitty told Holmes about it, and then Holmes stole it from the villain.
âŚI should add: and then Holmes gave it to a third party, in order to save another woman from the villainâs depredations.
Thanks - I'd forgotten about this canon detail. Also in canon, Kitty is part of the plan to show the book to that third party because doing so will hurt the villain. I'm curious to see if they continue to incorporate this theme (passing information about Kitty) as her story develops on the show.

One day in early spring he had so far relaxed as to go for a walk with me at the Park, where the first faint shoots of green were breaking out upon the elms, and the sticky spearheads of the chestnuts were just beginning to burst into their fivefold leaves. For two hours we rambled about together, in silence for the most part, as befits two men who know each other intimately. it was nearly five before we were back at Baker Street once More.

I know, that's the problem >.< anything I say he can refute easily with the close friendship thing.Â

Good point! I will! Thank you!
Anyone else have any ideas?
