“Do you know anything about how my husband and daughters are doing?”, asked Stolas, trying his best not to let his voice betray how anxious he was for the answer. When he’d left his personal wing of the palace this morning, Via had shown all signs of having caught the cold that Loona had brought with her from pre school. He’d nearly not gone at all, but Blitz had assured him that it was alright and that he would handle everything and pleaded with Stolas not to worry his pretty head.

The servant paused in his struggle to balance the amount of paper in his arms, raising his eyes towards Stolas in apparent contemplation, as if he considered how to best word the information requested from him.

”From what I’ve heard, the princesses are doing just fine…” The hesitation in his voice did nothing to ease Stolas’ worries. “The honourable consort however…”

Lovino tilted his head, exposing more of himself. The thought of God's disapproval paled in the wake of the adrenaline and anticipation coursing through him. He had peace with his fate long ago -- everything is permitted.

The One with the Fanfic Competition -- AO3

It’s not as highly ranked in Kudos, but it’s still in the Top 3%, which is really good, and I’m still completely mind-blown with how much people have just taken to this fic. Thank you so much! I’ve had a ton of fun writing it.

For those new to the fic:

Summary: In which friends and family of the Winchesters have gotten into a secret weekly fanfiction battle for best scenario of Dean and Cas finally getting together. That is, until Castiel finds out.

Fic is currently twelve chapters long, 50K, alternate s12, and a WIP that updates on a mostly bi-weekly schedule, even if I have to sacrifice sleep and sanity to do so. With lots of accidental plot and a rollercoaster of fluff and angst. I love it. I hope you do, too.

Which I guess is more or less true, since I'm usually finalizing my travel plans around that time.  That is, if one can consider a few months "around the corner," anyway.
