I have some exciting news! Yesterday I spent about 1.5-2 hours volunteering at my (new) local museum. It was catalogue work - important but often left to the side due to more pressing things.

I'll be volunteering there for ~4 hours a week for the foreseeable. Due to my mental health struggles I am not looking for a paid museum position atm so I can't devote even proper part time hours to the space. But hopefully, this will give me a chance to write more Museologist Notes on the Site!

And I have my first shot. Obviously I'm still wearing masks/distancing/staying home as much as I can this gives me hope that I might be able to get back into museums and write some reviews again!

I am a history person with 10 months experience in history museums (and 1 month in an art gallery) and an education from WAY far away from Toronto said 'no'.

Tangled is a gallery designed not only for disabled patrons but also for disabled artists! If you or any of your disabled friends are artists or art enthusiasts I suggest checking out Tangled! They have ASL interpreters at every event, seating for 30 wheelchair users, all films are close-captioned/ have English subtitles/and/or described audio and SO MUCH MORE!!!
