There's smth bothering me w th abu$e WEB (it's not a cycle (pls atleast use chain which is more accurate bc las time I checked Kyôka didn't abu$e Mori)) .
Lemme give u context:
I was watching a Dazai reaction video (like always) and I was to the point were they react to the abu$e web. They've got Yosano, Dazai, Q, Akutagawa, Higuchi and Kyôka as victims of the web.
The thing is: ppl ALWAYS (or almost bc I only saw it once in the 234524365476527586645674Z72 reaction videos I watched) forget Chuuya. 'Oh.. But why Chuuya?' u might say. Let me tell u:
Dazai's behavior towards him. Don't get me wrong but he literally made Chuuya's family (the Sheep (bc even if u don't want to admit, they were his fam)) betray him. Ppl keep saying it's Verlaine's fault the Flags died but NO; Dazai HELPED Verlaine get infos on the Flags that would help him. So yh, he's at fault too. Later, he let Chuuya get t0rtured even made fun of Chuuya for that. Now while DHC: he made fun of Chuuya's emotions (the Sergent's death (I think that's how the exec is called)) and talked about a touchy subject; Chuuya's humanity. We then skip 2 years later: Dazai leaving the PM. Dazai was most probably Chuuya's only friend or atleast was his bestfriend. Dazai most probably knew that. He still left w/o a word (for this, I think it's kinda understandable given the situation but still).
Mori. He's the 1 who ordered Dazai to make Chuuya join the PM and of course was absolutely okay w Dazai's methods. 1 year later, Chuuya's friends (the Flags and the ones he got after (those who dies during DHC)) die and Mori didn't let him mourn them. Not even for a day. Murase died too "because of him". He learned about his past, his clone melted in his arms, he had to fight it, got t0rtured by a man who dared to call himself as Chuuya's father then a to fight Verlaine who call himself Chuuya's brother but still hurted him for life. Mori knew all that and AGAIN didn't give him time to process.
He was most probably affect by Kôyô's view on love and her in general. Kôyô that love's a sin. But Chuuya has a big heart and loves alot and strongly. Kôyô most probably HATES this part of Chuuya and I think she makes alot of horrible comments on that like maybe 'If you didn't like your 'friends' you wouldn't care about their death' or 'Grow up, loving is for stupid, immature children and you are not 1 of those'.
The Sheep. I mean.. This one is self-explainatory. The betrayal, forcing Chuuya to use his gift...
The Government. Just 1 word will be enough to explain: Stormbringer. The gov kidn@pped him when he was FIVE then experimented on him until he was 7. One day, they got their hands back on him. What's the 1st thing they (N mostly) did? T0rture him, experiment on him etc. Shoutout to Ango for still calling him A-5158 ^^
Verlaine. Most of SB is Verlaine abu$ing Chuuya.
YES I know that Kôyô maybe counted as a victim too (the old boss) but that still doesn't excuse her actions. YES Mori may have been abu$ed too (maybe Sôseki) but still. If Dazai and Akutagawa can be both abu$ed and abu$e, they can be too.
