I read your post asking for writing ideas; I should mention right off the bat that I don't speak English. I’ve used a translator for both reading and writing, so if anything in this text sounds a bit off, I apologize. TuT

My idea concerns precisely that previously mentioned title.

I would like the girl to eventually find the courage to end the relationship she has been building with Leon. In response, he would start interfering in her life—quietly, so to speak. A form of revenge could involve, for instance, making it difficult for her to break into the professional world, or having her evicted from her apartment because the landlord decided to sell the building to "someone" interested in demolishing it to build something else. Workplace troubles—all meticulously orchestrated by Leon.

Leon reappears to play the savior, pretending there are no hard feelings—even after she left him. Instead, he would apologize for having been mean, trying to mask his bad temper or behavior.

This is the point where she can reject him, and that is when Leon’s actions toward her become more direct and insistent—involving death threats against her family, her new partner, or even her.

Anyway, there are many other things I could go into detail about, but I don't want to drag this out any further.

As of the ideas you wrote above, i can see yan Leon go this far to make the reader isolated/with no active support systems or ways out and i considered making him this extreme (enough to threaten her personally with death, or her loved ones) but figured it wouldn't be Leon, even when he's yan.

I feel like the leon of resident evil 9 wouldn't need to be so direct when letting the reader know how far he can go, he lets them know through actions instead.

Leon prefers to let his actions speak of his character:

— the irony of his threats that he speaks so gently it almost deceits/lets the horrifying part of his threat so subtle or vague to keep the reader anticipating or dare try find a way out.

— the downfall of something (losing a job, education failure, a sudden breakup or cutting ties) would be a result of a long, patient breaking process. i personally think yandere leon (in all versions of him, not just re9) wouldn't kill someone unless they're an extreme threat for public safety (that will give him a good excuse). assuming the reader has a partner/got a partner after breaking up from leon, leon wouldn't try to break the reader, he'd go after their partner. reveal hidden details about the reader or twist words and manipulate their partner to make them feel worthless/don't deserve the reader. losing the apartment can happen: to make the reader has nowhere to go except for his place, where he can moderate them closer and continue manipulating them to stay.

The safety threat can be something in the lines of:

"You're free to do whatever you want, but that doesn't mean you're free of facing consequences, darling."

not too direct— subtle and conveying the message.

or he can twist it to make the reader less sure of their own judgment. Leon has that power of a parent-like reality checking:

"You can't take the very responsibility of looking after yourself, you constantly make stupid decisions and get yourself in problems. how am I supposed to trust you on yourself, let alone bigger things?"

and since amor fati has him as a 'sugar daddy' (he doesn't like that term bc he believes what he has with the reader is real) he uses his financial influence as an extra leash over them:

"Instead of thanking me for taking care of you, paying your rent, clearing your debts and paying your tuition, you act so ungrateful? you know damn well you wouldn't last another day in that precious school if it wasn't me at your back. You better start picking your words carefully because you wouldn't want to lose your dream clinic, would you, sweetheart?" (he explicitly says this in chapter 2 i think?)

— Leon would absolutely take the role of the wise savior and make sure the reader remembers it and be grateful for it even.

"You're lucky you have me," kiss on the temple. "the worst would have happened to you. you don't know how to handle everything alone do you? let me do it for you"

— Leon has vast influence in the justice network across the country. while rookie/younger officers and workers in the system wouldn't recognize him (because he works in a secret sector/unit), the seasoned and experienced ones know leon and look at him like a sort of a dangerous man of action. so taking legal action against leon would be vain.

— Leon's 'apologies' are so hollow and lack any drop of guilt. they're just uttered to make you feel bad for not taking his word.

"Sorry for what happened with them darling. if only you listened to me, stayed with me, none of this would have happened."

That's what i generally think!

"I assure you it's paint my dear!" The tall man hummed as he lowered his body slightly. He was taller than her by a few inches. He smiled at her. Wide. Unnatural as he holds up a paint brush with red paint on it as he steps aside to reveal a painting. Capturing the sun's rays. Giggling lightly he places the paint brush down and approached the young woman.

"Oh it's so good to see a friendly face out here!" He says with a rather giddy tone as he looked her over. She was young. Pretty. No doubt a water bender. So having to act normal around this girl would be hard. His fear stems from water. It makes him nervous that he did infact kill someone and their body is hiding just beyond the bush. His eyes hidden by his hair he places a hand on his chest.

"You may call me Undertaker~! At your humble service my dear!" He shakes her hand forcefully. His boney pale fingers felt just like how he looked. Dead and cold. Pale and covered in scars dressed in black. Something was obviously off. And Adrian wasn't going to like the outcome if she found him out.
