Yeah the way he shuts his eyes tightly right when she goes in to kiss him...I’ve always read that as, “No, don’t. You don’t know what you’re doing. I could still be a danger to you. Please don’t get this close. I don’t want to hurt you again.” And then when she Kissed The Hijacking On Out of him, and his face melts into this completely awed expression? Like he was seeing her properly for the first time in weeks? Months? Gazing upon Katniss again without the slightest hint of venom soiling her presence?
