Hello lovelies! . I dropped my ballot off at the city clerk office today. I did my duty and have the right to complain if things go in a way that is literally detrimental to my person. And the great thing about Maine's rank choice voting is that not only could I vote realistically, I could put a secondary vote towards my conscience. The second choice vote only counts if no one wins >50% of the first choice vote and that person was not in last place in the first choice. But I put my opinions out there. . I also had to google the alliance party. It's only two years old and is pretty much what you would expect to get if you asked a group of college-educated millenials (older than you think they are) how the government should work. Good and bad, like all parties. Whether I agree with them or not, I'll keep to myself. I brought them up because I hadn't heard of them before. . I do believe we need a reminder that there are other parties and the two we've been working within have been systematically screwing over the population as a whole for too long. But again, if you don't have rank-choice voting, I'm against voting outside for *this* election.
