Because Ladybug is largely active at night, it’d be a shock for Parisians to see her out and about during the daytime. Enough to make the news. Chat Noir is rumored to be a hero who works alongside her, but no one has seen him or at least, no one has seen him and is willing to talk about the black shadow behind the lady with glowing green magic. However, civilians have reported a mysterious person in black with a cat-themed appearance who pulled them out of the crossfire and that has earned that mysterious figure the “Chat Noir” moniker from the news.
Bridgette and Felix decide it’d be more efficient to investigate during the day as their civilian selves to stay under Papillon’s radar. Yes, that’s the only reason. Yeeesss
