Any idea what this lichen might be? It is in a painting by Abraham Mignon, who lived from 1640 - 1679 in Germany and the Netherlands.
The yellow one is almost certainly supposed to be Xanthoria parietina. I also see some that look like they could be Physcia adscendens, Lepra amara, and Buellia erubescens. The bird is actually giving me more trouble. Its face is weird, but I think it is supposed to be a nightingale. What a gorgeous painting, and a fantastic representation of lichen diversity.
