“Blogs Wane as the Young Drift to Sites Like Twitter” by Verne G. Kopytoff.
Once upon time blogs were a hit in social media, people used to share thoughts, stories, adventures, advices, etc. Blogs had a huge number of followers, but change is an inevitable part of life and it is clear technological changes are taking blogs out of business. Facebook,Twitter, Tumblr are examples of the new social network who connect thousands ofpeople. The new internet users, most of them younger generation don’t follow blogs, they more likely to share posts on Facebook for example, and leave a comment there than write something on the blog itself. The new users want a place to read quick updates, short messages/comments, or share photos/videos, do chat online, etc. These stuff definitely are not allowed on blogs. Though, blogs are not playing an impact role on internet like years ago, but not doubt, they are still being supported by a lot of people.
