An incomplete list of the characteristics and biases that will inform and impact my posting. I try to keep them in my awareness when I can, but we all know we slip.
-> 30s, white, cis woman, UK.
-> bisexual, het-partnered.
-> audHD, self diagnosed, peer reviewed. anxiety and depression diagnosed. anti-diagnosis in mental health. pro-drop the disorder. medication neutral.
-> disabled - fibromyalgia. crip.
-> trainee counsellor, ascribed to BACP code of ethics. combination pro-therapy and therapy-critical.
-> leftist. ex-labour voter. anti-capitalist.
-> lives in a very white city. always educating myself. open to correction. not your job to educate, appreciate signposts. middle class upbringing.
-> university educated. believes in free education. agrees education creates a hierarchy. agrees education enforces a status quo. thinks we should do it anyway, but better.
-> childfree by choice. love kids.
