I’ve binged all of your tua fics, and I sincerely love your style and how you can build such full stories and worlds!! I especially love how you write interactions between all the characters—they feel understated, but in a good way. The way a bunch of guarded and repressed (but still trying) characters may talk
I have to ask, do you have any experience in orchestra/playing music professionally in general? I’m really impressed by just how accurate you got the going-ons of being in an orchestra in Grocery List Goals. Either it’s that or good research, and either way it is much appreciated.
Why hello there! Glad you're enjoying my TUA stuff. I'll get back to my Timekeepers, eventually.
While I have not professionally played, I was a big band kid - jazz band, marching band, and wind ensembles. I spent quite a few summers at Blue Lake, and participated in their international exchange program. I used a lot of those experiences as the basis for what I wrote in Grocery List.
I don't actually play anymore, but I keep toying with the idea of picking the ukulele for campfire/jam sessions. So transportable!
hey summer! if you have the time to answer this that'd be great!! ik you're alr a uni student so i wanted to ask for advice on getting into colleges. i'm in desperate need of ways that could help boost my chances of getting into good schools, esp bc i'm planning on going to med school afterwards. what did you do before going to college that helped you get in?
Hiya!Â
Other than having a good SAT score and good grades, I’d say your essay/personal statement and extracurriclars matter a lot!Â
For your essays/personal statement just write from the heart, showcase what drives you, what makes you different from others. Don’t write trying to be someone else because no one is like you already- use that to your advantage.Â
As for extracurriclars- DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID AND DO EXTRACURRICULARS FOR THE SAKE OF DOING EXTRACURRICULARS. Yes, your extracurriculars should be balanced and varied but I wasted so much of my time and nonexistent passion into doing certain extracurriculars i did not give a shit about and it did nothing to boost my application. Try out different stuff a lot and stick to what makes you happy.
To give you an example, my first year of uni I tried and did A WHOLE lotta stuff. Varied, yet things I loved doing and was excited to do so it boosted my app and I spent my time wisely. Those activities included:
a mock trialÂ
trying out for a bunch of audtitions (film and stage wise)
leading a grassroots human rights class at a school (teaching human rights to kids in secondary school)
being part of TedX’s marketing team
volunteering at a drama school an hour away from my flat
going to the gym five times a week (keeping up my workout schedule)
running in an election for the first time (and losing) in the spring
winning an election (i won a summer election)Â
Hope that helps! you got this xÂ
- SummerÂ
happy to say that the topic for my final project has been approved and it’s about the use of gender-neutral (lenguaje no-binario in spanish) in legal texts both in spanish and english.
little has been published about lenguaje no binario in my country and i’m so excited to move on with the research for the translation field ;U;
I am now a Master of Science

I am *almost* done with this semester, which means I’ll (hopefully) be more active on here soon. Only two more weeks and then I can properly catch up on things I’ve missed! -Bear with me- I wish I could organise my time better while studying, but that never seems to be the case....
Today was my first day of spring semester (my second semester and in my first year of uni still) and I’ve only had two out of five of my classes. And I already have assignments for the classes I haven’t even been to yet. My load is entirely full and I’m already dead I’ll never make it out alive .
