#about aryn

Aryn was exhausted but happy after his nameday the day after. Sometimes he forgot how tiring celebrating his way could be. He'd spent the day of his nameday with a lovely pair of twins, Ciel and Lillia. Well that was after his time with Ely and the family of course. The twins was more of a nameday/Valentione's gift to himself. He rarely spent a Valentione's without someone in his bed.

He did always joke that he was a love bunny since he'd been born on Valentione's.

Then the day after he'd went dancing at the Glitter Hall. Fen had joined him since Ely couldn't for health reasons. Boy that night was a blast as well.

Aryn sighed contentedly. The boys of the Glitter Hall had been so warm and sweet to dance with him as a nameday treat. Even if his nameday was technically over by Glitter Hall night. He'd even gotten glitter drinks and a piece of cake. Special dances with several of the boys even!

Aryn couldn't help but giggle to himself at the memory of the night. He'd worked with Xynal on dancing Salsa.

Sadly he couldn't win the challenge of making Xynal blush. Though he very much did try. But in trying to teach Xynal the Salsa beyond the basic steps, Aryn began to decide what he wanted to do.

It was later in his Tango with Rulian that made it official. He wanted to teach people to dance.

He'd originally taken time off from the Troupe to relax and spend time with Ely. It'd led to many different things over that time. But helping as a healer wasn't solving the itch he had. Helping at whatever clinic needed a volunteer healer was nice but not what he needed.

Dancing is what he needed. It was why he'd joined the Troupe when he was younger. He'd wanted to preform. He wanted to dance. Which led him to becoming an aerial dancer. Dance was his calling. So why not teach it!

Aryn looked down at the notes he was making. He'd find a space to rent. Turn it into a dance studio. It was just what he needed. He'd take time off here and there to travel with the Troupe so he didn't let his fans forget him. But for the most part he'd move into teaching people what he'd learned with the Troupe. At least the stuff that was safe enough to teach. Definitely not the aerials.

The Troupe had people from all over. He'd learned so many different styles of dance. He could start by offering more basic styles with classes for more skilled dancers beyond that. Maybe he could even teach a pole dance class too. That was safer than the aerials but used some of the same skills.

Guess he'd have to put more focus into his morning yoga with Ely. He'd need to keep himself flexible. And definitely in better shape than he'd let himself be in these last few months while he was depressed over Cedrik.

What was he supposed to do? There didn't seem like any clear choices or answers. Not to the pain in his heart. Sure there were things he could do. But were any of them good choices? Would his loved ones stop him if he did some of them? Probably.

Aryn sighed heavily as he stared up at the ceiling of his room at the Troupe's home. Laying here wasn't any better than laying around back at his apartment in the Goblet. His wounds were spiritual and mental. He thought he was cried out by now but fresh tears trickled from his eyes again.

Why had Cedrik left him without so much as a goodbye...

He'd wanted to throw a tantrum and stamp his feet on the floor. He had wanted to scream and chase after Cedrik for answers. None of those fixed whatever was wrong though. None of those would likely bring Cedrik back to him.

He wasn't supposed to get attached. They had insisted it was just casual. A way to enjoy downtime together. But Aryn could have sworn there was more between them as time went on. Cedrik had spent more and more time with him. It had felt deeper than they had intended. And Aryn felt like he'd finally begun to understand love for someone that was more than just family.

Only for Cedrik to rip away from him. It hurt so much... But he also didn't want to let go either.

Aryn rolled onto his side as he stared towards the door of his space. He knew everyone was concerned for him. How many times did he debate leaving to find Cedrik... Ely and Fen would come after him though. Ely was the one that could track people not him. Not that he got lost much but he wasn't the kind that tried to find people. His charm lured them to him not the other way around.

I think this is more of a question of what won't he wear. Aryn would definitely adjust what he wears though based off what he thinks the person might like best. He's got a very extensive wardrobe that goes from very skimpy and showy to very modest and fashionable. Since he isn't interested in romance, his outfits tend to be more of ones that show off his dancer's body. Outfits that show off in all the right places and only leave a little to the imagination. At least when he's trying to attract a sexual partner.

He definitely dresses more modest when he's not looking for a new partner to play with or if the situation is one where he needs to be on his best behavior. (Aryn is aromantic and a hedonist.)

Do they wear jumpers (sweaters)? If so do they fit perfectly or are they baggy?

Do they have a favourite hot drink? Tea? Coffee? Hot chocolate? Hot cider? If so, how do they take it?

It's cold and wet outside, your OC has just come in the front door. What do they do to get warm?

Not really a winter illness but Aryn loathes the cold. He was born in a warmer climate that doesn't really see a winter like Coerthas or other northern areas. So he absolutely hates being cold or anywhere that is cold. There is a reason he doesn't mind Thanalan. Does it get cold at night? Sure. But the desert doesn't normally see snow. You'll find him hiding somewhere warm to try and avoid the cold as much as possible during the winter. An there will be lots of complaining about the cold and not wanting to go outside where it's cold.

Destiney would definitely sit on Syl's lap if he was present. She has no shame in being snuggled up with her husband even if others are present. If he's not present, she'll find a spot on the floor to sit with her legs criss crossed. The floor really doesn't bother her considering she is used to the outdoors and you're not likely to find a chair out there. If there is someone there that she's comfortable with, she'll probably sit at their feet and lean back against their chair.

Stefan will find a wall to lean against. Somewhere he won't be center of attention. He definitely won't take to sitting on the floor most times with the clothes he usually wears. Dress pants and floors/ground don't mix. Though his outfit wardrobe isn't entirely dress pants anymore thankfully. Still mostly dressy clothes though.

Aryn will likely find a chair arm to lean against to be close to someone he knows. Or whatever space he can find near someone. He's a very social creature and much prefers to be close to someone even if he doesn't have a chair to sit on. But he's not likely to sit on someone's lap unless they invite him since he does like to respect personal boundaries. But don't put it past him to sit on a low wall if there is one nearby he can perch on. He has a love of high places.

Aryn loves holidays. He is more used to other celebrations than Starlight but he does enjoy Starlight. Shortly after Starlight though he plans to go home for the troupe celebration called The Festival of a Thousand Lights. Which is a Solstice and New Year's Festival wrapped into one and starts just before Starlight till about Mid-Jan for the Troupe. But I mean it's Aryn and he'd be happy for any reason to celebrate or have fun.

You would think that Alexois isn't much of a Starlight person. He likely still wouldn't be considering he'd never had real Starlight for many years. The joys of having an absolutely awful childhood. But a friend gave him a small snowman toy for Starlight the one year. It was his first real gift ever on Starlight. And down the road he eventually proposed to his wife on Starlight. So while he acts sort of indifferent to holidays and celebrations, Starlight has become a decent holiday for him.

Cedrik is a little bit of a bah humbug. He's been drifting about with Marcy for years and has almost no contact with his family back among the clan. Especially since his father died when he was a child and his mother was never the same after the incident. He looks at the holidays that deal with family with distaste but won't openly act like a bah humbug towards people. He feels the only thing holidays like Starlight are good for, is luring voidals out to be slaughtered.
