So... me being the curious type, i decided to do some digging and see if i could figure out stuff about our resident pointy boy (Andreaus), and i was able to figure out quite a bit!
He was born in the Kingdom of Ruthenia (idk when, but the Kingdom lasted from 1253 to 1349, so somewhere in there)
He moved to Moscow sometime in the late 1300s (After being turned I assume)
Sometime after arriving in Moscow he was granted the title of Grand Duke, but idk how he got it (Maybe inhareted and/or gifted from the vampire who turned him?)
In 1480 in his timeline Vasily the Blind (who was a vampire) and the vampire aristocracy ruling the Principality of Moscow were overthrown by Ivan the Great (who in his timeline was the human adopted son of Vasily the Blind). Ivan lead an uprising against the vampires and killed basically every vampire in the principality. Among the few who were able to escape was Andreaus. After ācleansingā Moscow, Ivan raised an army and decided to continue his hunt for vampires, following the path that his counterpart in this timeline took to expand Muscovite territory.
Sometime just after what Andreaus calls āThe Moscow Incidentā he wound up in charge of the Grand Duchy of Olensko (In this timeline it was a province of the Kingdom of Poland, not itās own sovereign country). The Duchy covered Busk Raion and the surrounding areas (Modern day district within Lviv Oblast, Ukraine) and had 3 or 4 villages and the town of Olensko (it was really small, like itās population was somewhere around 400 or 500 i think, though it might have been slightly bigger. It did have a jewelerās shop, luthierās shop, painterās studio, sculptorās studio, fine woodcarverās studio, and printer/bookbinderās shop, but those could have been there because he directly sponsored them, not cause it was a big town). I know the duchy was pretty much autonomous, but they did mostly use Polish currency and such.
Eventually Olensko ends up as a state in the Great Kingdom of Hapsburg ( Austro-Hungarian Empire in our timeline) and Andreaus is the royal governor. Sometime after the electrification of Budapest (1873) he starts maintaining a home in Budapest as well as his main residence at Olensko Castle. He is mostly away from Budapest, only rarely visiting, until just after 1904. In 1904 he arrives in Budapest and sees the newly finished Hungarian Parliament Building and is so struck by itās beauty that he is moved to tears and just says āItās as if the halls of Heaven have touched down upon the banks of the Danubeā (Because he is that dramatic). After 1904 he starts splitting his time between Budapest and Olensko. In 1917 he buys a Laurin & Klement 300 in dark burgundy (itās a pretty nifty lookin car imho)
During the fallout of WWI and the dissolution of the empire he tried to gain full independence for his duchy. Based on the historical events in this timeline I am guessing that he figured his best bet was to side with the Ukrainian Peoples Assembly to try and fend off the Polish, and most likely was killed in the Polish-Ukrainian Wars of 1917-1919. In our timeline there were several major battles in what would have been the northeastern part of his duchy during the Polish offensive of 1918, so that seems to be the most likely time that he died. (I know he didnāt live past the end of 1919 as there are several events and technologies that came out in 1920 that he didnāt know about)
So yeah, thatās what I was able to learn about him :3
Andreaus Maximilian Belton, Grand Duke of Olensko (b. between 1253-1349, d. 1918) (His coat of arms is a gold phoenix on a red field and he usually has a wreath of some kinda flower around it (Iām guessing whatever the prominent local wild flower is) and his crown is modeled after the Monomakh (Crown of Ivan the Terrible in our timeline)
If he wants to give more details of his country (or any of the parts of his past I havenāt seen) then Iāll let him post about it.
