A note on stupid American abortion laws - in GA (possibly OH and TX, but I'm not sure), travelling out of state to get an abortion or even a consultation about an abortion is also illegal with the new law. It's not that you can't get an abortion in GA. It's that no legal GA resident can get an abortion anywhere, and getting a consultation anywhere is conspiracy to commit.

Not trying to be rude, but have you thought about what it must be like for people who’ve had abortions because they couldn’t support a baby or afford to give birth to come onto your page and see all this anti-abortion stuff?
I’ve said many times on this blog that forgiveness and healing can be found for any woman who’s fallen prey to the lie that abortion is the answer. I think that’s a message of encouragement and hope. Studies have shown that despite being made to believe by social pressure that abortion will solve their problems, many women suffer with the aftermath of psychological trauma and guilt after abortion. Christ is the way to heal and get past that trauma and pain. Christ died on the cross for these women, too. His blood covers this sin just like it does any other and if they seek Him to be forgiven, He will most certainly forgive and meet them in their guilt and pain. I’ve also clarified many times that my speaking up against abortion does not mean I hold hateful feelings toward women who have had abortions.
I can’t lie and say abortion isn’t murder because it might make someone feel guilty who has had an abortion. If He can use my words to convict someone and motivate them to seek Christ for forgiveness, then that is a positive thing. We are supposed to feel bad over the idea of killing another human being - it’s the world motivated by the enemy that has warped people’s minds into thinking abortion isn’t murder and I will never go along with the enemy’s schemes to destroy life and separate people from God. It’s not loving to comfort someone with a lie. And it’s not loving to dehumanize human life in the womb and say it’s okay to kill that life because he or she is seen as “inconvenient” or a financial burden. If a woman can’t financially support a baby, there are programs that offer financial support or she can put the baby up for adoption. Children being expensive to raise isn’t justification for murdering them.

Losing followers doesn’t cause me to regret speaking up for the defenseless, nor does it make me consider changing my beliefs on the topic of abortion. If people want to unfollow me for this, then that is their decision. There are no hard feelings on my end.
But seriously tho, i really wish they would find a 'cure' (effective treatment) against autism.
I wish they would too.. I have heard a lot of people who have it say firsthand how they suffer as a result of autism and I’m sure they would love to have a means of coping with it better on a daily basis or even better, being completely free of the challenges it poses for them.
But referring back to the post I reblogged earlier, the concept of pregnancy screening for autism is very suspicious. It reeks of eugenics, very similar to how Down Syndrome testing during pregnancy is pretty much for the purpose of letting the parents know their child has it so that they can make the decision as to whether or not they want to abort. It’s very sad.
Just a heads-up for anyone who saw that "fake clinic" post: I don't like revealing my location on Tumblr but one of those clinics, Alternaterm, is a pro-life clinic located in Ohio and my youth group used to hold fundraisers and give portions of our proceeds to them. They are a wonderful clinic who provide support to women in crisis and in no way are they trying to "shame anyone" out of having an abortion. They do fantastic work in the community. Guys, don't be deceived!

It’s absolutely terrible that pro-choicers are intentionally smearing these pro-life clinics. If a woman goes to a pro-life clinic and accepts its help, then that’s her decision. In my opinion, this kind of behavior magnifies in a really resounding way that the motivation of the pro-choice movement isn’t really “choice”, but abortion itself. That’s what people mean when they refer to the movement as “pro-abortion”, which is usually met with outcry from pro-choicers and claims that this is false. But really, what else is it? For some reason, it’s personally bothering them that a woman used her “right to choose” to keep her baby and seek alternatives to attain the proper care for both herself and her baby. If they genuinely cared about a woman’s right to choose, they would respect the woman’s decision and not intentionally try to destroy the resources available to her because her choice isn’t what they agree with.
What I find ironic is a major pro-choice myth used in debates is that abortion clinics are necessary because they’re the only help pregnant women can get and that pro-lifers are all talk, don’t actually do anything, don’t actually care about the mother, only care about the baby until it’s born, etc. But here they are actively trying to destroy the very thing they claim doesn’t exist. This isn’t about caring for women and respecting their choices. This is about an agenda to dehumanize and destroy the unborn, and it always has been.

If abstinence only education wasn't taught, if actual time was spent to help make the adoption system better, if money was actually allocated to schools and healthcare and things that help families and children, if things (read: birth control) were easier to access, then I might consider outlawing abortion, but currently one of the major parties starting with R has a pro birth stance, not advocating for anything to help with children and family post birth.
I’m not sure what you want me to say to this because the post I reblogged agreed that more should be done to help women who are pregnant and after they give birth. And there are tons of people who make efforts to aid these women with necessary resources and help them realize abortion isn’t the only option.
Do pregnant women and the adoption system need more help? Absolutely. But you can’t use government politics as a scapegoat. First, you don’t need to rely on political involvement to help others. There are many organizations that aren’t involved in politics that reach out pregnant women in need. Second, let’s not act like the Democratic party is some angelic entity because if it was, all these issues would have been magically solved under Democratic presidents who claim so much to care about these issues. Politics has corruption on each side. Politicians on both sides make promises they don’t fulfill and claim to support certain beliefs they don’t actually care about/support. Politicians say a lot of things to gain support and get into office. It’s a well known trick that’s been around since the start of politics.
What I’m gathering from your message is your stance is basically this: “I’m going to support the murder of innocent children because resources could be better to help pregnant women and the adoption system”. That mentality just doesn’t add up in my mind. The fact that you would consider supporting outlawing abortion under certain conditions tells me on some level you know it’s morally unacceptable. Yet because you see flaws in the adoption system and the resources available to pregnant women and have an issue with the Republican Party, you think murder should be legal and the lives of those children who are terminated before they have a chance are inconsequential. That’s like saying because the adoption system is flawed, it should be legal to murder children who are in foster care and can’t find anyone to adopt them - that their murder should only be illegal if the adoption system suddenly becomes ideal and improved. If you can see something wrong with that statement, then you should also see how something is wrong with your stance on abortion.
And also, birth control is more accessible and free than ever before, so I'm not sure what you're talking about with regards to that. Oral contraceptives are largely covered by insurance (even the most basic insurance plans) and there are literally places available where people can obtain free condoms and other forms of contraception. When I was in high school (about 10 years ago now), they instructed us as teenagers exactly where to go to get free condoms if needed. Places like that were readily available 10 years ago, they're even more accessible now.
And yes, abstinence is a valid form of birth control. In fact, it's the only 100% certain way of not becoming pregnant. People have to realize that when they agree to having sex, the risk of pregnancy is always there even with birth control/contraception. If someone can't accept or recognize truth that a baby can result from sex, then that person isn't ready to have sex.

If this is your reaction to my stating that animals should not be put on the same level as or above human life, then you really need to re-evaluate your understanding of the value of human life. The only person you’ve hurt here is yourself by wishing death upon someone just for making a statement you didn’t like. I wasn’t aborted because my parents were overjoyed when they found out they were pregnant. They knew I was a human being worthy of love and nurturing from the moment of my conception, just like every other human being deserves and should be treated. Even though you’re purposely being malicious to me, I wouldn’t think or wish that you had been aborted. I can still recognize that you have value as a human being despite the fact that you’re intentionally being cruel toward me and felt the need to anonymously attack me for saying something that rubbed you the wrong way.To be honest, initially I was not even going to bother dignifying this with a response because it’s clear your intent is just to be hurtful. But I was thinking and thought it might be something I want to address, because the fact that you could wish someone never existed merely for disagreeing with you and saying human life is valuable/should not be put on the same level or lower than animal life is very unhealthy for several reasons. One, the way you view human life is very troubling. And two, this world is full of people who are going to disagree with you. I’m far from the only one. If you’re going to abuse the anonymous messaging system on Tumblr whenever someone disagrees with you, you’re only going to end up hurting yourself. Many people will not be phased by anon hate and if anyone is hurt by your words, they’ll soon forget them. But if you keep attacking people, it’s going to take a spiritual and emotional toll on you because you’re storing up hatred and bitterness inside of your heart.
as a pro-lifer, and someone who's passionate about the subject, i believe i have gained enough education and background on the matter to stand on my own in a discussion on abortion. but, i'm still uncertain how to respond when a pro-choicer tells me, "fetuses aren't human beings." would you have counter arguments to that? thank you for your time
