オーストラリア先住民アボリジニとは？ ⑧ アボリジニの歌と音楽と踊り 　先住民の伝統的音楽は伝統的アート同様、地域によって独特な特徴があるが、一般的には様々な儀式に用いられることが多く、祖先や大地との繋がりを意味することが多い。また、雨乞いや癒し、戦闘のための音楽も存在する。 　使用される楽器はディジュリドゥがよく知られているが、他にも様々な楽器を使用し、歌やダンスと合わせて儀式が行われる。最も古くから伝わるとされる歌には、楽器を使用しないものも存在する。 　伝統的な歌や音楽やダンスは、現代を生きるアボリジニにも大切に受け継がれており、現在もオーストラリア各地で演奏されている。 　伝統的音楽をルーツとした現代音楽も活気を見せており、ライブ演奏も頻繁に行われている。 　ジェフリー･グルムル･ユヌピング氏はオーストラリア中をその歌声で魅了し、オーストラリアで最も敬愛されるミュージシャンの1人だ。スティング氏をはじめ、ミュージシャンからの評価も高い。 Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu Australia Dreaming Sounds

Antill: Corroboree In 1947, Sir Eugene Goosens gave the first performance of this composition that documents the Austrailian Aboriginal dance known as a Corroboree. In 1960, Goosens and the London Symphony Orchestra recorded for Everest this magnificent - possibly the best ever - performance of Corroboree, even better than the famous EMI recording of the same piece from 1977.
