For my music exam project I’m going to be analysing Wicked and reinvention within that franchise. Specifically I’m gonna analyse and compare Cynthia and Idina’s versions of “The Wizard and I” not to find out which one is better but to explain and explore what’s different. I’m really excited about it!
For the practical part of it I’m gonna sing the song, in front of my whole class, and I’m scared because I’ve never done that before, I’ve only been taking singing lessons for a bit more than a month, and bla bla bla. If I look inwards and look beyond the fear, I’m quite excited. Performing is what I want to do and this is a chance to feel what it’s like. So wish me luck please because I will need it, not just in order to sing well but in order to not collapse from anxiety before I get a word out.
