You belong with them, by their side, so why is it that you refuse to stay with them?

Work with them goes smoothly at first. It’s unsettling how fast you seem to gather PO-boxes, not to mention how they seem to be the only kind of energy box you can gather from Silent Orchestra. However, things quickly spiral the moment you have to leave.

They don’t force you to stay against your will — they wouldn’t be able to keep you with them for long anyway — but they do threaten you into staying. You know what the consequences of them escaping would be, right? You wouldn’t want to cost the entire facility of the energy everyone worked so hard to get throughout the day just for your own selfishness, right? Not to mention how many people would die as a result. Maybe the entire facility.

If their threats and attempts at guilt-tripping won’t work, they’ll be furious and breach. How horribly it ends up depends on how prepared the facility is to deal with an Aleph, and one that’s as gimmicky as Silent Orchestra at that, but there will always be innocent people dead as a result of it.

If you decide to stay with them, they’re delighted enough to put aside whatever annoyances they might’ve had with you if you dared to refuse at first. They’ll conduct a private concert for you, but really it’s an attempt to mess with your mind without fully breaking it.

If they can plant the idea that everyone poses a danger to you while Silent Orchestra is the only one you can trust, and let it fester more and more whenever they had the opportunity, then they won’t have to worry about you leaving them any time soon.

Besides, this way they can ensure that you truly belong to them and no one else.

The Silent Orchestra — or at the very least, the Conductor that leads the ensemble and the one that you tend to within their containment unit — is far gentler and more thoughtful with you than they are with any other agent or abnormality.

They give you more leeway in your mistakes; punishing you less for them if at all. However unlikely it is as you’re a level five agent by now — thus already desensitized to how the facility works and the deaths that come with it — they do enjoy seeing you fumble and struggle to appease them whenever you’re working on them.

They escape far less when you’re the one tending to them as well. They value their time with you, after all, and it doesn’t take long for them to realize that they’ll get to spend more time with you if they don’t breach whenever they felt like they were in the mood for conducting their ensemble.

Besides, giving you a private performance where it’s just you, them and possibly their ensemble is way better than performing in front of hundreds who’ll refuse to acknowledge Silent Orchestra’s skills until the bitter end.

The Silent Orchestra’s unit becomes a safe space of sorts. Of course you can never truly be safe around an abnormality, especially not an Aleph, but their fondness of you does come close.

If you’re ever being chased and are too injured to fight, they’ll hide you so that whoever’s hunting you down won’t find you and kill you. If you’re panicking or coming close to doing so, then they’ll perform a mini concert for you to restore your sanity.

Queen’s petnames are traditional. She’ll usually go for something more personal with you, but if she can’t do that for one reason or another, she’ll use petnames like darling, dearest, sweetie and love. She prefers you to call her by a petname as well, though nicknames will also do the job for her as long as they aren’t mean spirited ones.

Despite your relationship, Queen’s behaviour doesn’t change much beyond being easier to contain in her unit. At the end of the day, she’s still the Queen of Hatred and having a lover now doesn’t change her obsession with her past nor does it change how she deal with her problems. At best, your status as her significant other helps her keep the impression she has of herself being a magical girl still. At worst, you’re always going to be the first one that she kills when she breaches in her serpentine form.

Queen gets jealous extremely easily, but snapping her out of it is just as easy. Her jealousy also isn’t equal between humans and abnormalities. She’ll go far easier on you as well as being easier to please if her jealousy was caused by the former, whereas anything involving the latter will cause problems to both you and the facility.

Going on dates with her is difficult if not downright impossible due to the fact that both of you are stuck within Lobotomy Corporation deep deep underground. The most you can do is sneak her out of her containment unit — something that will come with severe consequences in the event that you are caught — and have a date somewhere in the facility between midnight and dawn, when no one else is around.

Assuming that the two of you aren’t stuck within Lobotomy Corporation however, Queen would prefer to go on picnics. Somewhere surrounded by flowers, with a view of the sea, or anywhere with a beautiful view that the two of you could enjoy while eating snacks. Going to cinemas is a close second.

Queen does her best to be romantic, she really does. From the petnames she uses for you to the makeshift dates she goes on with you in her containment unit, she tries her best to be romantic in hopes that it’ll keep your love and attention on her lest someone steal them right from her. However, either because of her clumsiness or because of the contrast between whatever romantic gesture she made and the fact that she’s in a containment unit, all her attempts to be romantic fail.

As for domestic matters, Queens dreams of being your wife in the future. A traditional wife specifically, the type that takes care of the house, cooks food and even takes care of children if the two of you decide to have them in the future. For now, she’s content with making — or rather, conjuring — lunch for you to eat during your breaks. One with magical properties that will help you out with your work.

She hopes it will help, at least.

Good luck if you didn’t leave the department his containment unit is in when he breaches, because he’ll enchant you first thing so that you come right to him, too.

He might decide to have a little fun before he kills you though. You are enchanted after all; unable to deny his whims and wants, full of the sole desire to be near him. What yandere can resist the allure, really?

Well, him.

He will nuzzle you and maybe even cuddle you before your eventual demise at his very hands, but saving you comes first because of how important you are to him. He might be a little stupid but even he knows that doing the right thing — saving you from the beast — comes first.

He’s a lot less murderous when in his containment unit, but only thanks to the drugs that try to keep him asleep or sleepy for as long as possible. He’ll happily cuddle and kiss you during this state while you’re supposed to be working, but keep your guard up as just a brief moment of lucidity on his end would mean death for you.

Not that escaping his grip is really possible due to the sheer amount of strength he possesses even when he’s supposed to be in a weakened state.

So by the time you meet her, she doesn’t open up nor does she particularly care about you beyond the little care she shows all the agents with her crumbled pride. She will bestow her blessing to you if you meet the conditions for it and she will despair over her inability to protect you if you die with her blessings, but there won’t be any attachment to you in her actions and this is how she behaves with any agent.

Things are different if Knight notices that you’re still around no matter how much time passes. She can barely tell who’s who due to her despair. Even for agents with her blessings, she only recognizes that they’ve passed away because she feels her blessing break. Their corpses, no matter what the state of them are, will always be unrecognizable for her.

But when you visit her over and over again through the course of months, she starts to recognize you; growing familiar with your presence first, then your personality and behaviour, then your appearance. It’s new to her. Unfamiliar. And the emotions that come with this change are scary.

She likes you — your presence has become comforting by now and it’s the only thing that keeps her despair and self hatred at bay, even if a little so of course she likes you — but seeing you fills her with anxiety like no other. Each passing day her fears, ones that resurfaced with your slow friendship — resurface as she wonders if you’ll make it back to her. So far you always have, but it hasn’t stopped her fears.

It’s slow, just like everything else with Knight is, but she becomes clingy. Her excessive attention easily becomes overwhelming as work tasks on her take longer and longer due to her increasing need for reassurance that you’ll be okay. It’s not intentional on her part, she doesn’t mean to make your job harder than it already is nor does she wish to put you in greater danger by keeping you with her for longer, but she’s not upset about it either.

Achieving a good work result becomes harder. There’s a burst of positive energy when you return to her, but the following energy boxes are a mix of positive and negative energy with there being more of the latter. You’ll be leaving her soon after all, aren’t you?

Her blessing shifts as well. It becomes even stronger against red, white and black damage while becoming even more vulnerable to pale damage. She refuses to hand it to anyone that’s not you even if they fill the conditions for it while begging you to take it regardless of how well you do with work. Sometimes she hesitates. She knows that her blessing doesn’t amount to much considering how many agents it has failed to protect, but what else could she do to help you? She’d never be able to forgive herself if she stood by and did nothing as you got hurt or worse— died.

That very same reasoning is what causes her to be connected to you if you decided to carry her blessing with you. The moment she feels you get the smallest wound is the very moment she’ll breach; wreaking havoc to anything that stands in her way as she makes her way over to you.

If you never get injured while you have her blessing, then everything will be fine for the most part. Even though Knight is barely holding on by a thread, as long as you’re fine, she’s fine. But the moment you get injured, Knight won’t let you go again. She can’t afford to now that she’s very attached to you.

At the very least, she’ll make sure that her containment unit is as comfortable as possible for you as she takes care of you.

While Queen is easy enough to appease — even a few kisses from you will be enough to lift her mood — if she’s jealous for long then she’ll breach in her snake form as she usually does and wreak havoc upon the facility; with her main target being any human or abnormality who interacted with you.

Her jealousy is also inconsistent in the sense that it behaves differently when you’re with other humans compared to when you’re with abnormalities, with her being far less worried when you’re with humans. She still feels threatened to some degree, but she knows that humans still need to spend time with one another just like how magical girls need to spend time with one another. It’s something that humans need to do, which Queen understands!

Abnormalities, on the other hand, makes her jealousy meter rise up like none other.

Most of them had a monstrous form so she didn’t feel threatened by them — unless you happened to be into monsters, thank goodness you didn’t though, right? Right? — but few with human appearance were an exception to that.

If she found out that you were sent to work on The Lady Facing the Wall for one, Queen would be in a foul mood like no other and it’d take far more than a few kisses to make her feel better. The same thing applies to you being sent to work on Melting Love as well, with this being more dangerous as there aren’t many ways to hide that you’ve been sent to work on the aleph in question.

Queen doesn’t mind it as much if you’re spending time with her sisters in arms, The Knight of Despair and The King of Greed, though that’s more because she believes that they’re completely lost and don’t really understand what’s going on around them anymore. They were corrupted, after all, and it warms her heart to see you caring for them.

Abnormalities are different. Since none of them are human, Nothing There has no interest in imitating them or taking their place. The best way to deal with them would be to kill them, but it’s not like abnormalities can permanently die nor can Nothing There stop you from returning to those other abnormalities when they came back to life. They understood that being close with them was part of your work after all, but that didn’t help with their jealousy.

So instead of wasting their time killing things for no reason, they change their plans to dragging you back into their containment unit instead. Unfortunately, not all abnormalities are compliant some don’t like it when Nothing There drags you away. They’re easy enough to deal with — even if some of them happen to be other abnormalities — but those that are immune to red damage are difficult to deal with.

Burrowing Heaven is annoying and Nothing There frankly doesn’t have the time to waste on it when they could be spending time with you, so they drag in another agent to deal with Burrowing Heaven. They can’t pry you away from the other abnormality’s grasp unfortunately nor would the agents be happy to give you over to an aleph, so Nothing There disguises as an agent first then brings in someone else to deal with Burrowing Heaven.

When that pesky tree is gone is when Nothing There can enjoy spending their time with you.

King of Greed is easily mislead when she’s breaching, not to mention her lack of hands — which means she can’t hold onto you like that pesky tree can — and her large body that barely fits the hallways means that there are few places where she can take you back from Nothing There can cause a problem.

If she doesn’t chase after you, then Nothing There is free to drag you back to their room. If she does chase after you, then all Nothing There really has to do it listen if she’s currently in the hallway they want to go through and wait if that’s the case. Maybe taunt King of Greed while they’re at it too since she’ll never be able to catch up to them.

Melting Love is the most annoying. Fortunately for Nothing There, Melting Love already has a designated agent that she loves more than anything but they don’t have a lot of choices during the days when she’s breaching. It’s not that they can’t recognize you if you turn into one of her smiles — they can spot you from a mile away easily — but more so that you’ll love Melting Love far more than you love them in this state. Not to mention that you and Nothing There can’t spend time together as humans when you’re a smile, can you?

Getting rid of Melting Love is also annoying because agents are useless against her. Nothing There can of course mess around with the locks on containment units as well as the qlipoth counter of the abnormality within, so they can get abnormalities out of there and force them to fight Melting Love while hiding you away in their room. That would eventually get rid of Melting Love but Nothing There would have to supervise the whole thing and it would take far too long.

If only Melting Love wasn’t resistant to red damage so Nothing There could deal with her themselves.
