YAS QUEENS! ⁣ ⁣ One of my best friends just gave my Abbi Jacobsen’s book and I am so excited to read it. She is one of my favorite celebs so it inspired me to do a post dedicated to books written by powerful female funny ladies. ⁣ ⁣ I recently started Jenny Slate’s Little Weirds and I have laughed out loud multiple times. I can’t wait to read more and then dive into these other two memoirs. ⁣ ⁣ I had the absolute pleasure (and fangirl moments) of meeting Jacobsen last year at Book Con and Slate this year at Book Expo. Broad City just gets me. Maybe it's the fact that I, too, am a broke 20-something lady trying to awkwardly navigate the bizarre and sticky ("mucous-y" might be more accurate) situations one encounters when living in a city. Or maybe it's because it's just a great show with lovable characters and hilarious writing. Either way, I can't wait for season two. And I'm in love with Ilana's ridiculous wardrobe.
