lmk what you think!
1991!
oh man you’ve caught one of my blind spots here... i was looking through the albums released in 1991 according to wikipedia and the only one i’ve listened the whole way through is blur’s “leisure.” which, i mean, is an excellent album! i feel like i appreciate it more as i get older. but this still feels like a cop-out answer haha i apologise
ababelofprose replied to your post “favourite album from 2001”
oooh i haven't actually listened to that one...i really should tho! (my favorite is the holy bible but i have really only ever listened to the first three which i love p equally)
god, the holy bible is a masterpiece. like you just can’t go past it for that one kind of perfect imperfection. know your enemy is like... if the sound of gold against the soul was more refined and less all over the place. it’s a bit safer than the old sound but some of the songs really feel like early manics. my fav is “intravenous agnostic” if you’re looking for a place to start :D

this is an excellent question…that will now plague me
i know right! it started out as an idle question but the more i think about it the more it bothers me - if you ever come up with an answer, please let me know!

3. A book you found overhyped, and whythe shades of magic trilogy by v.e. schwab. like. this might surprise some people bc i will talk about this series at length. like i’d need to right an essay to really get out my problems with it but. i found the worldbuilding (something the series is super hyped for) inconsistent and confusing, t b h. i mean there’s always a chance i just didn’t understand it but it i felt like some of the worlds’ … worldbuildling just really did not make any internal sense.  and i didn’t like enough of the characters to really make up for it but i kept with it to see Holland’s redemption arc bc i knew it was coming from day 1 and i’ve loved him since then.Â
17. Preferred bookshelf organisation schemepreferably genre, then author but. i don’t have enough space or books so it looks like this28. The one where the fanfic was better than the original (and the relevant AO3 links, pls) oooh it’s been years since i was reading fic enough to be able to remember this. but. how about uh. the sedoretu merlin fic? that was better than the real show wasn’t it? in any case that fic changed my life.Â

I know there have been studies which suggest that colder workers are more “productive,” bc they are uncomfortable and thus more alert. I always felt like I got less work done bc I was sick from it. but like, very capitalism
whaaaaaaaaaaat. i am definitely not. more alert when i am uncomfortable. sleepy, yes. in pain, yes. alert to my work? definitely not.Â
not to mention you know, the shifts between inside and outside temperatures making you more susceptible to the flu. ugh. probably about short term gains? that definitely sounds very capitalism.
