Are 26 pages and 4.9k words too too short for a self-published short horror/monster fucker story? I wrote it for an anthology with a 4k limit but then chicken-shitted out and didn’t submit so now I just have this tiny, queer, kinda creepy, monster fucking story sitting here that I keep editing and adding a tiny bit more to but still feels too short to publish. I’m looking at Sir Chuck Tingle’s shorter works and they’re at least double that amount. Maybe I need more plot? More than half of the story is the Set Up. More porn? It’s kind of fanfic-y with the plot then porn ending, but maybe some aftercare plot for the end? I don’t know. I don’t remember how to write lol.
