SORRY BUT IM ACTUALLY SOBBING AT THIS COMMENT ON AASOAF 1.
THIS
IS
WHAT
I
WANTED
bless this reader for picking up so perfectly what I put down wow đđđđ
Happy Storyteller Saturday! I'm a big believer that every story is secretly a love letter to something, whether it's the setting, or a particular character, or something else. What is your story a love letter to?
Happy belated STS, Sarah!
OH MAN this question makes me emotional haha. I will try to keep it brief because AASOAF means so much to me and if I went into every facet, this response would be a mile long.
AASOAF 1 + Mariel & Axtapor's relationship are both a love letter to Aurora's "Potion for Love" and "Exist for Love". Those songs both mean a great deal to me and they just made me want to write a story worthy of them.
AASOAF 2 is a love letter to Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. I can't say more because its spoilers but that game was really pivotal to my childhood and has always stuck with me.
The Oasis Heartlands, the setting of Man O' War is a love letter to the jungles of Mexico. Honestly, that whole WIP, really, is a dedication to my ancestry and culture.
OC Description Tag
I got tagged by @pheita here, thanks so much! đ
Rules: Share an excerpt from your WIP that describes one of your OCs.
This technically isn't from my current WIP. This description comes from AASOAF 1 but it's still one of my all-time favorites of Mariel, not just because it's pretty but because Axtapor is SIMPING SO HARD, and STILL refuses to admit that he's got a fat crush on her lol. Gonna put it under a cut though because it's long.
ALSO, tossing the M.O.W taglist on this one because the woman in this snippet, Cassia, is a supporting character that you'll all meet in Part III!
Meme Monday
This still counts if I'm doing it a week later, right? lol Sorry for the delay on this one @elshells! See their post here!

Rules: Take a blank template meme and format it to fit your characters or WIP!
Of all of these, the gif is my favorite, I had a bit of giggle making that one haha

"Do you never laugh, Miss Eyre? Only rarely, perhaps. But you're not naturally austere, any more than I'm naturally vicious. I can see in you the glance of a curious sort of bird through the close-set bars of a cage, a vivid, restless, captive. Were it but free, it would soar, cloud high."
Jane Eyre, 2011
