guess who got sick!
anyway, i was finally feeling well enough (and had time) to get some writing in but i definitely had to dial back the task i originally set for myself because my brain is just not there enough to do anything else. either way im really pleased with my progress!
i will probably not be able to go to writing group tomorrow though because i dont want to get anyone else sick ππππ its the responsible thing to do but im going to miss seeing everyone! in any case, i will truck on. i want to get this chapter done maybe tomorrow??? if not definitely on thursday. that will leave me with 4 chapters to go. i've got about a month to finish them plus a short edit before my Jan. 9 deadline. I GOT THIS

did my review of the final arc in writing group today and found a few spots that needed some addressing and figured out how to address them. now that the notes have been typed up I need to add them to the top of their respective chapters and get to work!
im making it my goal to finish this edit by the end of the year. I feel like I have to put it out there so that I can make it happen. home stretch!!!

you guys im so happy about this you have no idea ππππ I worked tremendously hard this weekend to get finish it off and I'm literally over the moon about it. tomorrow in writing group i will be reviewing what i have for the FINAL arc of the story and once i finish editing that, it will be a matter of editing The End and this edit is done.
guys im seriously getting so close to being finished with this round and i cant wait for it. i dont want to be dramatic or anything but working on this round has been one of the most challenging, but rewarding creative ventures ive ever taken on. im definitely going to have to do a little celebrating once i get it done!
a little bit of work tonight. mostly re-reading the chapter i will be working on next. im afraid its too mushy (even given the subject matter) and much of it will have to be re-written. which is not the end of the world but I am going to have to find a new angle for it. must do some thinking...
making a lot of progress over here these days π I haven't been as diligent about making these update posts this past week bc apparently I just forgot??? so here are some highlights:
overhauled two really weak chapters and made them much stronger
because of the above, I now feel like this part of the story is really focused and the next chapter will release/resolve a lot of the tension the first two chapters have built up
I read out loud a piece of AASOAF 3 to my in person writing group which was huge for me because im really shy about reading my work. it was well received too!
best of all, the next chapter is the last one in this arc. after that its a literal sprint to the end π there are only 8 chapters left of the IN THE ENTIRE BOOK for me to edit. im seriously going to push hard these next few weeks because I want to finish with this round of editing before the year is up!
