😭 i found the og file from 2021 ish and finally finished it omg

throughout this whole arc, it felt like it was becoming clear that killua put more energy into gon than gon put into him. gon seemed like he was reciprocating killua’s feelings (friendship/romantic whatever you want to call it---really doesn't matter) equally, but idk gon seemed to fall off this arc.

the Let's Go scene after killua helped ikalgo just felt like gon was in his own world. like killua saw gon changed and realized he doesn't feel the same towards gon anymore because of it. idk it felt so sad. (yeah, i cried about it for a while after, sue me.)

killua did so much for gon since the beginning. but this arc made me feel like killua's done a little too much. like gon is being selfish and just dragging killua along.

It’s been,,, 7-8 years,,, BUT I STILL LOVE DESMOND FUCKING MILES AND I WILL FIGHT UBISOFT AAAARRGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

And lastly a shoutout to the two fics that I’ve written a lot for during the last year but that are not yet finished and so haven’t been posted yet: Fully grown (standing at ten chapters and 25k right now) and the yet to be properly titled Resurrection fic (10k, one resurrection down, two more to go, accidentally became and accidental bond fic, let’s see where else this fic will take me^^)

Favourite Fic: mmmhmmm I like a lot of the fics I wrote this year! Pigtails is definitely one of my favourites; it was a lot of fun to write and I’ve been really happy with the response it has gotten. I also love Pas de Deux; I love writing Stoyd and when it’s Stoyd and ballet, really, what’s not to love? Homebound is another favourite, my first proper Merlin fic (apart from a couple of ficlets) and I really love how it turned out! It was fun to work through a few issues I have with the show (in a very loving way obviously^^). Sterek-wise I like all of the fics I wrote for Sterekweek, with Rose and Thorn emerging as a slight favourite, because FAIRY TALE RETELLINGS!

Hardest Fic: Probably Pigtails because when I first got that prompt (which was for my kiss meme) my first thought was “how the hell am I going to make those two kiss?” (my life had obviously been sadly lacking in Stackson so far) and this whole fic is my attempt at bringing those two to a place where they can kiss!

Homebound was also hard in the respect that the first part of the fic is dedicated to pulling Merlin and Arthur apart and figuring out how to do that without making either of them the one solely at fault (which does not for a good relationship basis make) and how to bring them together in a way that (somewhat) solved the issues that pulled them apart took some effort.

In the case of both fics the length also was an issue - they are the two longest fics that I have written and finished so far (there are several wips that are longer, but that I obviously haven’t managed to actually bring to an end yet) and given that most of my fics are somewhere between a couple hundred and a couple thousand words (with most between 1k and 2k) actually making the plot stretch over that length (but also ENDING it eventually) was a new experience in a way.

Do You Plan to Take Prompts in 2017? 

Sure! I apologise in advance, though, because I don’t know when I’ll manage to fill your prompt (or whether I’ll manage it at all)!

What was the best thing about 2016?

Breaking former fic length limits probably! It proved to myself that I can write longer stories, which was a good feeling^^

And really, every single comment I got on any fic!

What was the worst thing about 2016?

No time! This was the year of exams, that is very final, the only thing deciding my graduating mark uni exams, so my fic writing time has been very limited. And finding time, inspiration, and motivation all at once was often very hard.

Goals for 2017: WRITE!! That’s really my main goal, write, write, write, write more, both when it comes to just words on a page in general and with respect to a single fic - I’d like to see whether I can write a fic that’s longer than 50k.

I’d also like to participate more in fandom stuff like fests - on that note: should I sign up for the Merlin Reverse Big Bang???

I already also have some concrete plans for fics I want to write:

The most immediate plan is to finish the Resurrection fic and then to finally finish Fully grown!

I’ve got somewhat clearly laid out plans for two sequels to Pigtails and for a sequel to Fully grown that I’d like to write and there’s a couple of prompts in my inbox that I’ve got ideas for a few shorter fics for. I’ve been daydreaming about an arranged marriage royalty AU Stoyd fic for quite some time now that I think could be a lot of fun to write. I want to write more Merlin fic and I’ve actually got a few concrete ideas for Drarry fics!! And as always, there’s the “there were two nogitsunes (that is Stiles and Allison)” fic that I’m GOING TO WRITE ONE DAY.

But really, the most important goal is to write more, write more regularly, and to finish more fics!
