On March 29, 2014, Fangirl Rhythm went to The Wire to see one of my favorite local bands, She’s Alive. It was a CD release show for their latest album, “Glory Days: Tales of a Notorious Youth”(Which is available on Bandcamp for pay-your-own-price now), and sadly their last show with front man Alex Rogers. She’s Alive’s CD release show featured bands such as “Aiming For Average”, “Cliffhanger”, and “Tanks & Guns”. Each band was awesome and had the audience pumped and eagerly anticipating the men of the hour, She’s Alive! As soon as She’s Alive hit the stage for the last time together, the crowd went crazy and each member gave their all for the performance. I’ve seen She’s Alive numerous times and each and every time, they put on an amazing show. If you were in that audience you are able to feed off of their amazing energy from the time they opened with “UFOs”, to performing songs off their latest EP such as “Thrown Into Oncoming Traffic” and “Poetry, to closing with my all-time favorite song of theirs, “Heartbeat”. They definitely killed their final performance together. I know this isn’t the end for them and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for these five guys that have impacted my life so much these past two years through their music.
