You thought that collecting the soul shards would be easy, boy were you so wrong. You were running around through the garden maze while dodging traps and the occasional golden statues chasing after you.

You stopped to catch your breath and checked the map on your tablet Bierce has given you. Still around 39 out of 50 left to go. You groaned in frustration, this was going to take you longer then you thought.

Just then you heard a maniacal laugh somewhere to your right, you swiftly turned your head in that direction but saw nothing.

Still, you readied your speed boost and teleportation on your tablet. You heard the footsteps coming closer as you looked back and teleported into the opposite direction.

What you didn't see was that another statue was in the circle for your teleportation. So once you teleported you fell directly on top of it.

You opened both of your eyes to see your lips on his. His empty eye sockets widened as did your eyes aswell.

You pulled away staring into his golden face as his turned expression went from a baffled to shy face. His cheeks turned rose gold as his menacing grin turns into a shy smile.

You realized what had happened and scrambled to get off him as you ran away. Hands covering your reddened face as you went deeper into the maze.

"I'M SO SORRY!" You yell out to the watcher. Before dying to a trap you didn't see during your flustered escape.

" Well that was an interesting scene. HA! I'm never letting you forget that! "

You hear Bierce laugh inside your head. You cover your face once more as you hear the sound of losing one of your lives.

Yeah, your never going to forget aswell.
