One of my all time fav headcanons is that klavier crossdresses just to fuck with people. He doesnt like dressing up to fit the mourn, he LOVES fucking with people and make them doubt what gender he trully is. He doesnt really give a honest fuck about labels and dresses in literally anything- masc, fem, Drag even. If it fits him and he looks hot thats what hell wear. I feel like he def was the gay awakening of alot of people.
Kristoph? I feel like hed be more enby but still cross dress. He never felt like labels mattered to her (bc he was more busy with planning murders) but takes a liking in cross dressing. Specially if its like, vintage dresses. I think Kristoph woul love those old dresses woman used to wear back in the day and she doesnt give two fucks on what others think because shes too busy planning something to even notice people. I think Kristoph was also accidentally the gay awakening of a handfull of people because of that.

i think his relationship to femininity & beauty & the ways he chooses to present himself in general is very interesting no matter which angle u take and i like hearing abt it ^_^ TANGENT ALERT 🚨 i do agree generally in the sense that the sort of more (societally) “feminine” things he does are just part of his routine and he doesn’t really think about them; the hair, the nails, the makeup & jewelry (imo :3), etc etc; it is all a means toward the end of “a beautiful life” in his own words. he composes himself in a way similarly to the von karma men but who are of course incredibly precise and elaborate in appearance, but is that beauty, in the way kristoph seems to want to capture? i imagine that he’d find manfred von karma to be respectable, impressive even, but he is too harsh with his interactions, too overbearing; he has manner, but no grace. edgeworth is softer, yes, but frankly too awkward all around for his liking. he doesn’t carefully school his expression into anything pleasant, and his movements have little flourish. he is (mostly) polite and well dressed and well groomed, but… beautiful? a far cry to be certain. and it’s just interestingggg i feel like it’s pretty easy to know what beauty isn’t for him but what is it? i dunno! whether he views it as a performance or just a status symbol that no one else can match in the first place or something comforting/self-indulgent or a way of exercising control or something he does without thinking or a secret sixth thing he’s not emotionally intelligent or reflective enough to figure out (🏳️⚧️🫵) it is just fun to think abt :3 does that makes sense?? idk!! 😁
but yea i also like to think it’s where klavier got his gnc swag from too, obvi kristoph doesn’t go as far as klav does but i just think it’s cute if like in addition to copying the hair & all, he also saw kristoph doing makeup and copied that, and maybe kristoph taught him to paint his nails to stop him from biting them, etc etc and it’s just a nice thing they share and also why klavier feels more comfortable being fully himself later on since kristoph never acted like it was a negative <3 (even if kristoph starts to be like 😬😬 once klavier’s tastes branch out 💀 but that’s just because he is mean.)
tho it’s also definitely interesting how he reacts in canon regarding just the nail polish before phoenix even has a chance to say anything about it… king who hurt you 🙏💔
