hi love! ✨️ that's actually a really interesting topic i'd love to talk about! i assume in general you are talking about sun signs not getting along, but as you said, this manifests more as competition due to the sun representing all aspects of ego and pride. there may be a natural dynamic/desire to prove the greatest qualities of your sign or why you outshine the other individual. this competition doesnt necessarily have to be negative, however, hints of jealousy and pettiness out of sheer pride could lead to arguments. pretty much surface level condlicts and annoyances.

in regards to actual "beef" (i like to describe it as the art of naturally pissing another person off lmfao) i think that would more so come into play with conflicting mars-mars and/or mars-sun synastry or aspects. mars can bring out more serious emotions of anger or just make you naturally despise someone. you know when you look at someone and they piss you off just by existing? ya chances are you have some conflicting mars-sun energy.

EX: as a cap sun i was always naturally competing w a pisces sun friend. though we were great friends we were both very prideful in trying to prove our own way was right, yet it never led to intense arguments.

conversely, a dynamic with cancer suns clashing with my aries mars have triggered more intense arguments and that natural "you really piss me off" dynamic lmfao.

to put it simply, sun deals with egos clashing and surface level conflicts while mars will specifically reel in more genuine anger and/or arguments.
