I’m a private citizen, a volunteer at a local city animal shelter. In order to get some dogs out, ones who require major medical treatment, there are a very limited number of great rescues, sponsors and Good Samaritans that can help in those situations. @guidrysguardian very recently helped with two of our boys... Newton #A1911492 and Rocky #A1911931 vowing to pay medical for both to any qualifying rescues who pulled the dogs. @savingpawsrescueaz pulled Rocky and @delaneysdogrescue pulled Newton. Both great rescues. We had another great boy on his way out the door this weekend ( Mango #A1908669 ) but the adoption was halted when our medical staff flagged a possibly serious yet to be diagnosed medical issue. I am not a representative of the city. I am an individual seeking ways to get more dogs out of our system. There are many great rescues. All the good ones are all worthy of your attention. Simply put I’m just giving Guidry’s a shout out because they technically didn’t pull those two most recent dogs, but are paying medical costs, and I personally just want Guidry’s to be able to continue to help us get more dogs out in the future. @guidrysguardian https://www.facebook.com/GuidrysGuardian/ Donation information is at... https://guidrysguardian.org/ If you are interested in getting to know more about the Good Samaritan or Sponsoring program that aren’t spoken about too frequently… Call the shelter and ask how you can get involved. It can be costly as some medical costs can mount up. For those of us that want to help but don’t have thousands of dollars to donate on animals we might never meet, you can always find legit, reputable rescues that you believe in that collect a lot of smaller donations and then help collectively.
