"As a first-time parent, CJ and I learned a lot side by side. I am a single, working mom, and without our village, we wouldn’t be where we are. From social workers and resource workers to our family and friends, everyone supported and helped along the way (most still do to this day!)." Today, their family continues to grow as they create lasting relationships with siblings and extended family. This day means more to me than most holidays. Adoption gave me the gift of motherhood. Happy Gotcha Day to all the Ningdu babies & my special girl! So proud of this girl for her determination, drive, and grit. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen her pick herself up, brush off, and try again with so many obstacles in her life. At 10 months, she couldn’t sit up without assistance. Two months later she was walking. She’s not stopped since. God bless this child. She’s been a blessing to us every day. God bless her birth parents as well.
