I screwed around for about an hour and finally got what I think might be the actual outline for the crown. I'm going to think hard on it for a little bit now because I want to do @kate-komics original design justice, so we'll be right back.

Crown progress update:
Ok, it's been a hot minute.
Ok, so I cut out another better tailored horn piece.
It would up being just a bit too short at the bottom and the top spike (to the left of where the ears would be) coverd the side of the visor (that's why there's a line through it) which bothered me when I tried it on so I made alterations.

Then I realized when I did a comparison with a side view comic panel, the angle of the circled section was very off. Currently working on the outline for that.

And in between all this, I finally thought to measure how big the ear piece is on the side of the helmet, and make a little cut out of that so I'm not guessing all the time.
There is most certainly an easier way to do this but I'm to tired and stubborn to try and find it rn so goodnight. I'll try to get more work in tomorrow.

So after about 3 hours of screwing around with cosplay foam, I've start over...kinda. I'm going to cut out a full template of the crown just to get a better idea of sizing and just having a full visual helps me plan better.
(I've made a few modifications since I took the photo but they're minor ones)
