Facade wanted to rush to his side and hold him like a baby, though she couldn't worry him more than he already was. Instead she took one of his hands and gently massaged it, working in some of her magic. Her administrations were gentle and as loving as possible, hoping to let him knowshe was there for him. (a-bitter-facade)
(Send in your museβs reaction to hearing my muse thrashing and crying out amidst the throes of a nightmare.)
Gloopyβs body shook, breath coming in shallow gasps as the last of the nightmare faded. He was visibly terrified, eyes staring forward with confused intensity. Like he didnβt know where he was. Like the human was still here.
It took a while for the paranoia to wear off, he kept telling himself it wasnβt real. He had to keep repeating it to himself,Β βItβs not real, itβs not real. Iβm safe, Iβm alright...β
But Sans and Papyrus were still dead.
He began to laugh. Laugh at himself. He was pathetic. A failure of a father. He didnβt deserve his children back. He didnβt deserve anyone back. If he was half a worthy enough person to deserve a family, he would have protected them. They would still be alive.
The pained laughter decayed into crying. He hadnβt been good enough. He hadnβt tried hard enough. His sons were dead be cause of him, they were all dead because of him!Β
He felt like he had the weight of the world on his heart. He wished it would crush him.
A sudden touch alarmed Gloopy then. He threw whoever it was back with the aid of magic, the paranoia returning quickly. Even when he turned to see who it was, it took a moment for him to recognise her.
βFacade..?β his magic failed, releasing itβs hold of her Soul. He felt a cold dread settle on his mind. He had hurt his friend, he had attacked them!
βOh my goodness, oh my goodness! Facade Iβm so sorry!β he got up, torn between rushing to her side and staying far away. In this state, he couldnβt guarantee his magic would stay dormant when he needed it to.
Panic ensued in his mind, and he found himself moving forward despite his fear of further injuring the other fragment. Unthinking, he helped her up again. But his movements were hesitant and awkward. He felt a sudden need to explain himself, unaware of his anxious rambling.
βFacade Iβm so sorry, I-I thought you...I was having this nightmare a-and when I woke up I thought I was alone..a-and then you were there and I didnβt realise it was you. I thought...I thought you were someone else. Oh my goodness, oh my God...Iβm so sorry!β
