I think the fact that the Rani is disgusted by a Rani saying that she had been born from her is made 10x better by the fact that the Rani was loomed and not born like... ever.

I don't like bigeneration just being a normal thing, though. I've always had a headcanon that The Doctor's and the Master's regenerations have been getting more out there over the years because they're well past their original regeneration cycles but I don't think that's a thing for The Rani.

I’m gonna use that

It does occur to me that none of the in-between showrunners brought back any individual Classic Who characters that weren't already brought back by RTD so, I guess that's just a testament to something or other.

Alright. I will start the new Rani discourse. Is anyone bothered at how afraid RTD is of being un-PC in the new era? You have Davros who has been wheelchair bound and deformed for decades in the show and he changed him to being a default abled white man and immediately introduced a wheelchair bound UNIT officer in the next episode:
Which I think is generally tone-deaf but then you have a character named The Rani who is using an Indian name but is portrayed by an actress named Kate O'Mara and she regenerates into an Indian woman. And I can't help but worry that the reason the companion for this season is Indian is so we don't think that Indians are necessarily evil in Davies's mind.
Okay. I haven't seen a Rani episode. Apparently she killed Six off-screen? Worst option of all the teased possibilities.
