This is a model of our Duckett Street Park project for the Nightingale Village in Brunswick. Precinct site planning allows us to close the existing street for cars and give the liberated space over to people. Rather than re-designing the road, we leave it as-found but sabotage it for vehicles by sawing-up sections of asphalt to add new soil, trees, planting and a turf berm. . The project was designed in close collaboration with the City of Moreland and Nightingale Housing and forms the shared address of the 6 adjacent nightingale projects by Andrew Maynard Architects, Architecture Architecture, Breathe, Clare Cousins Architects, Hayball and Kennedy Nolan. We’re looking forward to chalking this out on site with the balloted Village residents in Spring this year to see what they think. . . . #_openwork #urbandesign #landscape #urbanism #repair #brunswick #brunx #nomakegood #landscapearchitecture #boundarymaven #nicetobeworkinginbrunswickforachange #cityofmoreland #nightingalehousing #nightingalevillage #underthepavementabeach (at Brunswick, Victoria) https://www.instagram.com/p/B1VowTIlCtw/?igshid=1ajazax2tdkmz
