I remember fondly the day we had the great Southern humorist Lewis Gizzard as a guest on the Mark & Steve morning show on 96 Rock. Lewis loved his adult beverages and that early morning he was looking rough. But even in his condition the man was prophetic when he began the interview with ..."people are always complainin' to me about something they read in the paper, and I tell them 'what do ya want, it only costs 25 cents'!' So every time I see some news reader on TV make big deal about what the NY Times says, does or thinks ...I think about Lewis. And smile. And change the channel.
