So I'm going to admit that not only do I absolutely LOVE "Friends" but I own all ten seasons on DVD. The other night, I decided to re-watch the show from the very beginning.
While watching episode 1, laughing a long with the laugh track I paused when Rachel presented her "I don't need a job, I don't need my parents, I've got great boots, boots." I actually found myself thinking, "wow those are cute boots". This thought was immediately followed by a moment of slight panic at the notion of the styles that my mother probably wore when I was as a child are already making a comeback.
Continuing on through season one, I kept noticing that, much to my chagrin, the "Friends" girls clothes seemed extraordinarily in line with trends that are everywhere this summer. From the loafers to the printed maxi skirts to the cropped shirts, 1994 is back. Maybe bowling shirts and sweaters vests for guys are next?
