A story of harassment and invincibility
The first word I played in a words with friends random player match was "titty" (because it was literally the only word I could make). I hesitated, but decided that I would go out on a limb and trust my competitor to have some ounce of maturity.
He sent me a message: "off to a nice start π"
He played the word "daddy."
I thought about ending the game, but it was my match of the day round, and I wanted the prize for that. Why should I have to forfeit my daily bonus just to avoid harassment?
I disabled chat, expecting him to follow up by forfeiting the match. I was anxious, worried he'd be offended. (who cares if he is though??)
He continued playing, and I am free from harassment and anxiety, but still got my daily bonus.
It may be small, but damn that "disable chat" feature sure is powerful. I feel invincible. Take that creepy stranger!!
