Yeeeeeee. Guess what day it issss! Hump day, woot woot! Jk, its not even hump day and you probably won’t even get where that’s from.. Today is actually Thursday, not Wednesday and that’s from a Geico commercial.. I believe. Anyways, today is the first day of school. It is almost 9 o’clock in the morning right now. However, I do not start class until 11. Soo, why am I awake? Well, hehe, funny story.. I still have to buy my books. All of them. And an iclicker. And I don’t even know where the book store is! I’m going to do so well in college(: Well, today is the day. As I’ve mentioned before, probably, idk if I have.. This is surreal. When I was younger, I imagined college students to be so old, mature, and just have everything sorted out with their life (and I’m sure every other freshman is thinking this as well). But, in reality, we, (ohh snap see what I did there, I went from college students in general to actually including myself because, guess what, I’m a freaking college student) are young, we’re only 18 years old, we are definitely not mature; last night I was so proud that I farted really loudly. And we, at least I, DO NOT HAVE EVERYTHING SORTED OUT WITH MY LIFE. AT ALL. But I am a college student. AWWW Yeaa, look at me, I’m awesome. Jk, but jk that jk. Actually it is really amazing to be a college student. Yesterday, my roommate, K and I went to this volunteer event and I talked about it in “Letters 9/25/13” but in it we had the chance to talk to sixth, seventh, and eighth graders about what college and high school is like. For example, how hard the homework is, if high school in general is difficult.. Are there parties in college.. Random stuff like that. And I think the most inspiring, or at least the thing that stood out to me most was how much they looked up to me because I was this seemingly awesome college student who has gone through the things they most fear at that point in their lives, which is graduating high school and getting into college. It was really cool being that role model and hopefully, changing at least one person’s life because we got a chance to talk to them and give them hope that it is possible to achieve these crazy feats. Put myself in their shoes, when I was an eighth grader, I thought college was long long away from my life. And now I’m here. And it’s surreal. But I’m going to take it. My (cliché) goals are to grow, learn, have fun, be good (in whatever sense seems right), get good grades, meet good/nice/smart/sexy? Friends and/or future spouse. And there you have it! Hopefully by the time I graduate I’ll do those things. And then there’s the whole, as if I’m a middle school student again looking up to college students, I’m looking up to graduated college students from a first year college student. What if I’m not old, mature, and have everything sorted out in life? Then damn, when will I be those things? Haha, well, that was my spiel. I will get back to writing this after my first class.. Hopefully? Idk, I do what I want. I’m a freaking college student. Jennifer 9/26/13 9:05am PS. I’m a freaking college student now.
