I feel like someone gave me a new pair of glasses, and I was now able to see all of the things good and bad clearly and able to make the right decisions that would benefit myself and better yet my family. 1. At year 5 I started making my journey of recovery public (social media). I did not think it was anyone's business even though I wore my sobriety proudly on my sleeve if I met you in person. In the last 10 years I have been clean all of but 3 mos. when I fell off when my Aunt Irma died. I wish I would have made my recovery known for everyone to see every step of the way now, the Love and support is real and it is a great opportunity to inspire those who are also battling with addictions.
