Ballerina (dir. Len Wiseman).
An energetic Ana de Armas stars in this loose at best John Wick revenge spin-off that tries to lend more class to the already brimming amount of movie clones the wildly successful action franchise has already spawned. Even star Keanu Reeves gets in on the fun with an extended appearance set chronologically during and after the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. A pretty simple but nonsensical plot sets our titular killer ballerina (Eve) off on a path to avenge her father and hunt down her own people, a cult of hitmen raised as children to kill, somewhere in the Austrian Alps. It's a strange balance of tones that tries to maintain the Wick aesthetic with something new, more feminine yet still deadly. Regardless, that flamethrower duel really did the trick.
