Ideally youâd fit all of these criteria, but we suppose we can make a few exceptions.
- Must be able to play punk, rock, ska, reggae. Weâll like you even more if you like and/or listen to any of those genres. Hint: we do a mix of those. Â
- Must realize we will most likely all never meet in person.Â
- Must own or have regular access to a drum kit. More pts. awarded to you if itâs real. Weâve yet to hear an electronic kit worth a crap (unless itâs way high end) = just our opinion.
- Must be able to keep time. We don't do click tracks but will shoot you the BPM roughly associated with each song to help.
- Must have a means to record yourself playing said drums. We donât care how you do it as long as we can get decent sounding wav or mp3 files when itâs all said and done. Props to you if you use garageband - we do.Â
- Must be able to get back with us in a timely fashion. We understand everyoneâs got jobs, commitments, family, etc. BUT to have progress youâve got to spend at least a little time a week or weekend working on practicing or recording.Â
- Pts. awarded if you use âgoogle hangoutsâ or âSkypeâ. We typically use one of those for the feeling of face to face discussion. However, if youâre not down with that... we suppose we could shoot email edits and notes (but itâll lengthen the process).
- Know that if we use your drum work on our final mix of the song, youâll get the credit as drummer. Wanna use your real name? A pseudonym? An email? Weâll make sure itâs attached on here. Not to mention that if you actually dug the song.. youâll get a digital copy.... that way you can tell your friends... I friggin played drums on this.Â
